Vision beschreibt ein positiv formuliertes Zukunftsbild einer Organisation und bildet die langfristige Zielsetzung einer Organisation ab.

Mission greift den Unternehmenszweck auf und ist auf die Gegenwart fokussiert. Hier wird formuliert, wie und für wen eine Organisation tätig ist.

**Beispiele**

* Microsoft Vision 1975: Ein Computer auf jedem Schreibtisch in jedem Zuhause.
* Volvo Vision 2020: Wir wollen die Anzahl der Menschen, die in einem neuen Volvo ums Leben kommen oder schwer verletzt werden, auf null reduzieren.
